Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both pulled off ‘no-look passes’ in their most recent matches as a fan found the Juventus superstar almost cost his side the lead.
The 35-year-old Portuguese superstar returned to action on Sunday in Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Sampdoria in their opening Serie A fixture.
Andrea Pirlo kicked off his reign as Juventus manager in style as Dejan Kulusevski fired the defending Italian champions into the lead early in the first half.
But Ronaldo, who would later score in the second half, made a sloppy mistake before half-time as his no-look pass was intercepted by a Sampdoria player.
Sampdoria wasted no time to launch a counter-attack and came close to beating Wojciech Szczesny for an important equaliser.
One fan has now compared Ronaldo’s poor no-look pass to that of Lionel Messi’s pass in his recent match for Barcelona.

Ronaldo picked up both an assist and a goal in his performance against Sampdoria at the Allianz Stadium.
However, Pirlo has admitted that he will carefully rotate Ronaldo at certain stages of the campaign to maintain his fitness and form.
“We are thinking about [how to use Ronaldo] and talked it over,” the Juve boss told Sky Sport Italia.
“He’s not tired yet, as we just started, but when we come up to less important games, we’ll try to give him a rest.
“He’s a very intelligent guy who knows his body very well, so he is aware of when it’s time to rest or to step it up. When he will play depends on him.”
