Valencia An offer is on the table
Geoffrey Kondogbia could be the latest Valencia outgoing of this transfer window.
Los Che are willing to listen to offers for the midfielder and are looking to make back the 25 million euros they spent to sign him two years ago.
As such, the club have contacted intermediaries to try to find a new team for the 27-year-old, with a move possible until the final hours of the transfer window on Monday.
In fact, as MARCA understand, one of these intermediaries was in Valencia this week to try to convince the player to accept an offer.
This intermediary doesn’t represent Kondogbia himself but a Premier League club aiming to add the Frenchman to their squad for the coming season.
This Premier League club are building a strong project and have contacted the player directly to try to persuade him to join it.
One thing known for sure is that the club is not from London and is said to be at least 200 kilometres from the capital.
The English market is the only one capable of coming up with the sort of figures the Valencia hierarchy are after.
A return to Italy for the former Inter midfielder is wholly unlikely because the player grew tired of Serie A during his time in Milan.
When Kondogbia left Inter three years ago, he didn’t consider a move to the Premier League, but now he could be open to a new challenge.
Valencia are continuing to prioritise player sales this summer, having already cashed in on Ferran Torres, Dani Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno among others.
Owner Peter Lim is looking to cut costs, taking advantage of any opportunity to do so in the playing squad, which is why Kondogbia‘s situation has changed suddenly.
Whether the player wants to leave Mestalla yet remains to be seen, though.
He’s well settled in Valencia and has a big family there.
