Lionel Messi seems to be preparing his departure from FC Barcelona after more than 20 years at the club. The Argentine legend tried to leave during the past transfer window, but wasn’t able to do so, and is thinking on doing the same in the next summer, with better luck this time.
The contract of the idol with Barça ends on June 2021, which means that he is already capable of negotiating as a free agent with any club in the world. Nevertheless, the attacker himself said that he was not going to do such a thing for respect to the Catalan side and that he was going to wait until next year to evaluate his future.
Bleacher Report published on the first day of the year that Messi was now a free agent, capable to negotiate his departure from Barcelona, and an unexpected answer arrived. FC Sparttak Moscow published a screenshot of a chat with Messi himself on Instagram, in which they wrote Hi, Leo! and the player answered no.
Such a thing was understood as a joke from the social managers of the media of the Russian club. The idea was very popular, as it was viral and generated thousands of interactions. Messi could be moving on six months but going to Spartak is not an option for him, while Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS remain as the greatest possibilities.
