Barça B pick up a point to take them to third place in the table thanks to a brace from the penalty spot from striker Rei Manaj in a game in which all four goals came in the second half.
The opening period saw the home side demonstrate why they are one of the most solid teams defensively in the category. Only an effort from Matheus half way though the half threatened the home side’s goal.
Second half mayhem
Everything changed in the second half with Collado brought down in the box to allow Rei Manaj to hand Barça the lead from the spot four minutes after the restart. The Albanian striker came ever so close to doubling the blaugranes’ advantage only to be denied by a great stop from Prat goalkeeper Craviotto.
However, just when Barça appeared to be dominating the encounter, Neeskens volleyed home to level the scores right on the hour mark. Both sides chased the winner and Rei Manaj went close again just a few minutes after Prat had drawn level. Barça keeper Tenas made an excellent save before another penalty allowed Manaj the chance to grab his second and put Garcia Pimienta’s team back in front with less than 10 minutes to go.
Unfortunately, the blaugranes were unable to close out the win with Domi scoring from inside the box with just two minutes left. There was still time left for Prat keeper Craviotto to pull off a great save to deny Manaj a hat trick and a winner.
