- Manchester United is said to be the Real Madrid’s defender’s No 1 destination

- Ramos is said to favour a move to England over joining Paris Saint-Germain
Sergio Ramos is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid this summer and is targeting a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United his preferred destination.
The defender is out of contract at the end of the season and talks over a new deal have stalled, meaning he could be available on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old is free to talk to clubs outside Spain to secure a pre-contract agreement and The Mirror report that his agent and brother, Rene Ramos, is eyeing a move to England.

Rene also shared a tweet criticising the club for dragging its heels over a new deal.
The report goes on to state that Old Trafford is the Spaniard’s first-choice of clubs in the Premier League with the centre back not keen on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The centre back, who turns 35 in March, also has offers from clubs in Asia but his family are not thought to be keen on moving there.
Ramos has been offered a two-year contract on the same £10.8m-per-year net deal that he is on now.

He is currently exercising his right to pass on the first offer on the basis that, with the 10 per cent pay cut the players have agreed to take during the pandemic, accepting the same money means, in effect, earning less.
The defender has won 18 trophies during his 15-and-a-half year spell with the LaLiga side.
Ramos was pivotal in Real’s title win last season scoring six goals in the club’s last 11 games as they overtook Barcelona.
Real have only managed to win three of the six league games the centre back has missed this season with the defender contributing three goals in all competitions.
